Starting out, my first goal was simply to replace my 9-5 income - which per month was about $5300.

With all these enormous numbers we see people putting out there these days, a $5300 month might seem like nothing to brag about.  

But in reality, being able to replace that income is the one thing that makes the biggest difference in the quality of your life.

It is difference between working 40+ hours a week on a set schedule vs a few hours a day whenever you want.

It is the difference between having only tired evenings and short weekends to spend with your family vs all the time in the world.

It is the difference between having to ask permission and take PTO to get a day off vs having complete control of your time (and therefore your life.)

Most people don’t realize that replacing your 9-5 income with an online business is actually ridiculously easy to do.

I’m going to break down for you exactly how this is done, using actual (rounded) numbers from my business.

Here’s the real-life math to prove to you how easy it is to replace your 9-5 income:

Again, I needed to net $5,300 a month to replace my 9-5 income.

I made an online course that I sell for $27, with an option to buy an additional complementary course for another $27. With this, each of my customers spend on average $41.

I promote my course with Pinterest ads. To get 333 people a day to click out from the ad to my course sales page costs an ad spend of $97.

Of those 333 people who see my sales page, 2% of them buy my course (this is the sales page conversion rate).

Now for the formula:

333 views x 2% conversion rate = 6.66 customers per day

6.66 customers x $41 average spend per customer = $273 in gross sales per day

$273 sales - $97 ad spend = $176 net profit per day

($176 a day x 365 days)/12 months

equals $5,355 per month.


I literally replaced my 9-5 income by selling a $27 course (plus a $27 upsell) to 6 or 7 people a day. That’s it.

And here’s where online business gets REALLY good: SCALING.

Just double your ad spend.

Want to triple it? 
Build another, higher-priced course and offer it to the people who bought your first.

You don’t have to spend the rest of your life working 5 days a week to have just 2 days off, having to request PTO to spend time with family for the holidays, and hoping and begging for a 3% raise..

..all to still only have just enough to get by.
